A large machine used by the city’s Department of Transportation to remove pavement from roadways reportedly caught fire during overnight resurfacing work along Woodhaven Boulevard near Forest Park last Wednesday, July 25. Fire Department sources said the accident occurred at around 3:15 a.m. in the vicinity of Woodhaven Boulevard and Forest Park Drive. Members of Engine Co. 294, Ladder Co. 143, the 102nd Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. There were no injuries.
