ST. ALBANS — A 23-year-old man from St. Albans was arraigned on charges Monday in the January attempted murder of Calvin Ogletree, the older brother of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and Holy Cross alumnus Kevin Ogletree, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Queens district attorney’s office.

Police said two witnesses claimed they saw Lonnie Miller and another unapprehended suspect confront Ogletree and allegedly beat him until he fell to the ground, according to the court document.

One of the witnesses said he then saw Miller allegedly pull out a gun from his waistband and fired at Ogletree once before fleeing, according to the complaint.

Ogletree had been outside his new business at 200th Street and Linden Boulevard when he was shot in the head, police and eyewitnesses told TimesLedger Newspapers earlier this year.

He was taken to Jamaica Hospital for his injuries and was at a rehabilitation center when Miller was arrested, according to the court document.

Miller was charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the criminal complaint.
