A historic day in American history has occurred again with the inauguration of President Barack Obama.
This time it happened on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, commemorating a man who fought hard for civil rights and gave his life for the cause. Remember also Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation that set the stage for an African American to become president.
But now Obama must attempt to unite Democrats and Republicans in a common cause for the good of the American people. For remember, a house divided against itself cannot stand. So let it not be said years from now that America was once a great nation but lost its way.
