Authorities have arrested and charged two men in conjunction with the South Richmond Hill fire that revealed one man bound and shot.
Jason St. Hill, 17, and Stephen Peters, 22, of Richmond Hill were arrested on Thursday, February 28. Both were charged with kidnapping, arson, murder, burglary, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and stolen property, according to police.
The victim, Azeem Ali, 43, was found unconscious and unresponsive after firefighters extinguished the blaze on 95th Avenue early the morning of Sunday, February 24. Ali reportedly was tied by his hands and feet, and shot once in the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
