Gold reportedly stolen from Astoria jewelry store

ASTORIA — Police were seeking information about a man wanted for grand larceny.

According to police, the man, described as being in his 20s, entered Zales Jewelry Store, at 31-07 Steinway St., within the 114th Precinct May 29.

When inside, he asked to look at gold jewelry. When he was handed two pieces of jewelry, he fled the store on foot.

The suspect was last seen wearing black work boots and a dark green, waist-length jacket.
