QUEENS VILLAGE — Authorities arrested a South Jamaica man in connection to the shooting death of a 22-year-old Brooklyn resident on Jamaica Avenue in August, the NYPD said Wednesday.
Jeffrey Demosthene, 23, was charged with the August 31 murder of Najee Simmons, police said.
Cops had been called at about 3 a.m. to Jamaica Avenue and 217th Street, where they found Simmons, in front of Subha Card Corp., which was closed at the time, the NYPD said last year.
Simmons was later pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital, according to cops.
