Say He Terrorized Sibling In Midville

An Ozone Park man remains locked up after allegedly breaking into a Middle Village apartment and terrorizing his sister last Thursday morning, July 17, law enforcement sources stated.

Police identified the perpetrator as 27-year-old Danny Budhu of 101st Avenue in Ozone Park.

Reportedly, Budhu kicked down the front door to his 36-year-old sister’s 75th Street apartment at about 8:10 a.m. last Thursday.

According to information provided by the Queens District Attorney’s office, Budhu’s sister had a court order of protection out against her sibling following past violent confrontations.

On Dec. 1, 2013, prosecutors noted, Budhu allegedly choked his sister during a verbal dispute inside of her 75th Street home. Four days after the incident, authorities stated, Budhu threatened to kill his sister after she told him to leave the premises.

Reportedly, Budhu came back to the location on Dec. 31, 2013 and repeatedly pushed and kicked the front door, again threatening to kill his sister.

After gaining entry into his sister’s apartment last Thursday morning, police said, Budhu allegedly confronted her in a bedroom, threatened to kill her and told her he was moving in.

He reportedly left the location and returned three hours later with his belongings and began unpacking.

Officers from the 104th Precinct were called to the scene upon his return. Budhu was taken into custody on second-degree burglary charges; he was additionally booked on three counts of first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment for the prior incidents.

During arraignment last Saturday, July 19, records noted, Queens Criminal Court Judge Lenora Gerald ordered Budhu held without bail and to return to court on Aug. 1.
