The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in finding the man pictured at right who is wanted for a recent attempted rape on the Elmhurst/Jackson Heights border. Reportedly, the attack occurred at 5 a.m. on June 6 inside an apartment building in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue. Police said the perpetrator-described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, standing 5’4″- tall and weighing 150 lbs.-followed a female victim into the apartment building, threw her to the ground and attempted to rape her. Shortly thereafter, he fled in an unknown direction. Officers from the 115th Precinct responded to the incident; the victim was not injured. Authorities said the suspect was last seen wearing a short-sleeved button down shirt and blue jeans.
