REGO PARK — Police were searching for three men wanted in an armed robbery of a Rego Park jewelry shop, the NYPD said.
The Police Department released a surveillance clip of a trio suspected of holding up a 97-18 Queens Blvd. jewelry store Sept. 5. Police said one of the three allegedly discharged a round on the floor, the group stole multiple pieces of jewelry and then drove off in a gray BMW X3.
The NYPD said one of the trio is believed to be behind an Aug. 16 attempted robbery in Glendale. Police said he allegedly walked into a jewelry shop, at 69-31 Myrtle Ave., flashed a firearm, struck a 64-year-old with the butt of the gun and then ran off.
Nothing was stolen from the Glendale shop, according to the NYPD.
