A woman was slashed in the thigh as she was jogging in East Elmhurst on Sunday morning, police said.
The 19-year-old woman was jogging along the intersection of 25th Avenue and 79th Street at 11:15 a.m. when the suspect slashed her in the left thigh, according to authorities. The gash was about an inch long, the Daily News reported.
The woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, about 20 years old and last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.
The investigation is ongoing.
