Cops looking for shooter who killed a 23-year-old man across from his home in Richmond Hill

Detectives are searching for the gunman who fatally shot a 23-year-old man across the street from the victim’s home in Richmond Hill early Friday morning.

According to police, the murder occurred at 12:14 a.m. on July 15 in front of a residence on 114th Street between 107th and 109th avenues.

Law enforcement sources said the victim, Raaid Ali of 114th Street, was shot multiple times by an unidentified man wearing dark clothing. After opening fire, the perpetrator fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The motive for the shooting is unknown and under investigation.

Officers from the 106th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Ali was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
