They didn’t have enough loot, so they went out and bought some more.
A man and woman broke into an East Elmhurst home last week to steal valuables and then used the victim’s credit cards to go on a shopping spree, police said.
On Oct. 27 at about 7:15 a.m., the duo burglarized a home near 31st Avenue and 71st Street. The home belonged to a 31-year-old man, according to police.
The suspects entered through a window, then removed a laptop, jewelry and a credit card, authorities noted.
Later that day, between 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the burglars used the credit card to purchase liquor at Mar-Pat Liquors at 31-14 Farrington St. and merchandise at Nike and Target at the Sky View Center in Flushing.
The male suspect is described as a black male, 35 to 45 years old, standing at about 6 feet, 2 inches. He was last seen wearing a brown baseball cap and a black hooded sweatshirt.
The female suspect is in her 30s, stands at about 5 feet, 7 inches and has black hair. She was last seen wearing a pink scarf, a beige jacket, black sneakers and pink and grey sweatpants.
The duo was seen inside a blue Honda Accord.
