Detectives are investigating the stabbing of a 30-year-old woman who said she was robbed on a Queens Village street steps from her home on Sunday afternoon.

Law enforcement sources said the incident took place at 2:50 p.m. on Jan. 15 in the vicinity of 212th Place and 104th Road.

According to police, the victim told detectives she was walking through the area when she was approached by three male suspects who attempted to steal her necklace. Seconds later, authorities said, one of the suspects stabbed the woman three times in the chest, and the robbers fled.

Police said the woman walked to her nearby home, and a relative called police. Officers from the 105th Precinct and EMS units responded to the call; the woman was treated at Jamaica Hospital for three small puncture wounds to her chest and later released.

Sources familiar with the investigation said there appear to be inconsistencies with the woman’s story, as video evidence obtained from where the stabbing allegedly occurred did not corroborate statements provided to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
