Cops are looking for a pair of unidentified crooks wanted for stealing a man’s necklace before bolting off an E train in Kew Gardens last weekend in an early morning transit grand larceny.
According to police, one of the two criminals approached the 23-year-old victim from behind, just as the Queens-bound E train pulled into the Jamaica/Van Wyck station at 4:20 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5.
When the doors opened, law enforcement agents said, the first unidentified man grabbed the victim’s necklace, causing the chain and an angel pendant to fall onto the victim’s chest.
The second suspect then snatched the chain and pendant, valued at $300, from the victim’s chest and surveillance video caught him exiting the train and subway station.
The first suspect fled the train in an unknown direction. He was described as a black male with a beard, last seen wearing glasses and a distinctive beanie cap.
The victim continued on the train and later reported the incident to officers from the 102nd Precinct.
