For the fifth year in a row, Sunnyside Restaurant Week will allow foodies to sample cuisine from more than 20 restaurants in the neighborhood.
Hosted by the Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District, the week-long event will start on Oct. 1, and participating restaurants will offer lunch and dinner specials. Every eatery will serve a three-course dinner for $25, and six of the 29 restaurants will also have lunch specials.
The event highlights Queens’ international cuisine options as participating diners can choose from Italian, Japanese, Peruvian, Mexican, Irish, Colombian, Tibetan, French, American cuisine and more.
Try Moldovan food from Boon, Tibetan food from Punda Tibetan Restaurant, or if you’re craving some steak, visit Copper Kettle Bar and Restaurant.
Organizers are also encouraging attendees to take advantage of the deals at more than one restaurant. Each time you take advantage of the special, restaurants will provide you with a sticker on your Restaurant Week Card. Once diners collects three stickers, they can return to a participating restaurant and be entered to win a dinner for four worth $250.
“Sunnyside Restaurant Week is a great opportunity for everyone,” said Jaime-Faye Bean, executive director of Sunnyside Shines. “It makes for a great date night for our local residents, but we also want New Yorkers from outside the neighborhood and even visitors to the city to come discover on of the city’s best neighborhoods while having a delicious and memorable meal.”
