Suspect wanted in killing of Springfield Gardens man: Cops

Police were a looking for a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a Springfield Gardens man in front of a house located at 178-10 146 Terrace in the early morning of Nov. 4, according to authorities.

After shots were fired, police arrived on the scene to fine Chaz Morrison, 38, unconscious and unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his torso, the NYPD said.

EMS then took the victim to Jamaica Hospital and once there he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD. His family was notified of his death.

Morrison lived eight minutes away from where he was shot at 145th Road and 182nd Street in Springfield Gardens.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 20 to 30, who was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket and jeans, according to police.
