Knife-wielding crook who robbed an Elmhurst victim on Christmas morning still on the lam

Detectives are still looking for a Christmas Grinch who robbed an individual at knifepoint in Elmhurst last month.

Police said the robbery occurred at 4 a.m. on Dec. 25 in the vicinity of Lamont Avenue and Denham Street.

According to law enforcement sources, the crook approached the unidentified victim from behind and pushed the individual to the ground. The suspect then displayed a knife and removed the victim’s watch and $900 in cash.

Officers from the 110th Precinct responded to the incident. The victim was not seriously injured.

On Jan. 4, the precinct posted on its Twitter page a wanted flier bearing the suspect’s image. The perpetrator is described as an unknown male.
