A New York City Parks employee was arrested on Thursday for attacking a fellow coworker with a chair during a training session at a Woodside playground.
According to police, at around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 16, Emerald Gentles was participating in a training session for the New York City Parks Department at St. Michael’s Playground when she got into argument with a female coworker. The dispute turned physical and Gentles hit her coworker with a chair.
The victim suffered an injury to her left hand and was taken to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment. At this time, it is unknown what started the argument.
Gentles was subsequently arrested and charged with assault, menacing, harassment, and criminal possession of a weapon, which refers to the chair used in the fight.
