Police are investigating the death of an infant who was found unconscious in his Corona home on Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, at 4:05 p.m. on Nov. 5, officers from the 110th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an aided child inside his home on 41st Avenue.
Upon their arrival, officers found 7-month-old Thiago Gaumarra unconscious and unresponsive, with no obvious signs of trauma.
EMS responded to the location and rushed Gaumarra to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police indicated that, at this time, there is no evidence of foul play.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
