Police Looking For Man In Connection To North Corona Slashing

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a violent slashing that took place in North Corona earlier this month.

The suspect approached a 52-year-old man in the vicinity of 111 St. and 39th Ave. on Feb. 8 at around 11:50 p.m., and slashed him with an unknown sharp weapon, according to the police.

The victim suffered injuries to his face and torso, the police said.

EMS responded and transported the victim to Elmhurst General Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The police have released surveillance footage of the man wanted for questioning that was taken from the area after the incident.
