A lottery ticket worth over $63,000 was purchased in College Point and was selected as the winning ticket for the Sept. 3 Take-5 drawing, the New York Lottery announced on Friday.

The ticket, worth $63,401.50, was sold at Nilkanth Convenience Inc., located at 8-15 College Point Blvd. The holder of the big winner has a year to claim their prize.

Queens has had good luck playing the Take-5 game over the past several weeks. On Aug. 29, a winning Take-5 ticket worth over $31,000 was sold at a Richmond Hill deli.

Take-5 numbers are drawn every night at 11:21 p.m., from a field of one through 39.

Last year, the New York Lottery contributed $3.47 billion to school funding throughout the state, a number that accounts for about 13 percent of the total state education aid to local school districts.
