The NYPD is looking for two men who shot a 37-year-old man after attempting to rob him outside of a beauty supply store in Jamaica earlier this month.

On Friday, Sept. 4, around 12:10 p.m., a 37-year-old man was shopping outside of a beauty supply store, located at 164-17 Jamaica Ave., when two unidentified men approached him, according to the NYPD.

One of the men tried to grab a chain off the neck of the 37-year-old, while the second man acted as a lookout, police said.

The 37-year-old fought back until the man took out a gun and shot it once into the victim’s stomach, cops said. Both of the men ran off, without any stolen property, in an unknown direction, according to the authorities.

Paramedics took the 37-year-old to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
