Police have cuffed an Astoria man Monday morning for groping a woman in Queensboro Plaza last week.

Geovanni Romero-Gonzalez, 24, of Astoria Boulevard was arrested and charged with forcible touching and sexual abuse after he was captured on surveillance video making his way into the Queensboro Plaza subway station on Friday, Aug. 20.

Romero-Gonzalez entered the subway station around 9 p.m. and approached a 24-year-old woman as she was walking on the mezzanine level and proceeded to grab her buttocks, according to the NYPD, before fleeing the station on foot.

The investigation is ongoing.
