A Bayside-based arts organization is launching a month-long exhibition at Queens College located in Flushing next month in celebration of March being women’s history month.

The Garage Art Center, a non-profit, is showcasing the work of 23 women in a show called “Femina Creativa: Celebrating Women in New York,” which will take place at the Arts Center of Queens College from Mar. 9 through Apr. 26.

Different art mediums, including paintings and sculptures, will be used to highlight the historic impact of women in the art community.

Stephanie S. Lee, founding director of The Garage Art Center, said that each of the 23 artists featured all have unique and powerful voices with their individual message expressed through their art.

“Their works serve as a testament to the enduring power of creativity, innovation, and the indomitable spirit of women,” she said.

She added that the organization aims to foster a deep appreciation for the contributions of women to the arts and society as a whole.

The exhibition will be open weekdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. For more information, visit the Queens College Arts Center website.
