Get your thimbles and racecars ready; the long-awaited Queens edition of Monopoly is now available for purchase.
MONOPOLY: Queens Edition replaces the original board’s iconic spaces with beloved Queens locations and landmarks. Players can hop across historic restaurants, museums, and local businesses, buying, selling, and building their own slice of Queens history.
Classic elements of the game, such as Community Chest cards and tokens, have also been customized to reflect the “World’s Borough.” To develop the game, manufacturers Top Trumps USA and Hasbro invited locals earlier this year to submit their favorite spots, giving the community a chance to help shape the final product.
The complete board and list of featured locations were revealed during the game’s official launch on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Queens Center Mall—one of the spots highlighted in the game. The three-hour event included guest speakers, giveaways, and a special appearance from Mr. Monopoly himself.
Ready to play? The game retails for $44.99 and can be purchased online or at the Queens locations listed below.
