Queens Botanical Garden (QBG) is set to host its annual Winter Wonder event next Saturday, Dec. 7.

The beloved holiday celebration runs from noon to 5 p.m. and will offer a festive blend of live music, a tree-lighting ceremony, an outdoor holiday market, a menorah, and selfies with Santa.

Winter Wonder at Queens Botanical Garden, located at 43-50 Main St. in Flushing, is a long-standing tradition, and past events have seen thousands of visitors come together to enjoy the holiday cheer. Last year, the event attracted record attendance, with guests enjoying live music, holiday crafts, and more in its winter wonderland setting.

This year’s Winter Wonder 2024 invites Queens residents to celebrate the season with a diverse lineup of live performances. Fogo Azul will kick off the festivities with samba reggae starting at noon, followed by a jazz performance from the Queens-based MMR Trio. The music continues with klezmer tunes by Eleonore Weill starting at 2 p.m. and classic Christmas carols performed by The Jolly Holiday Carolers from 3:30 p.m. The day will culminate with the tree lighting ceremony at around 4:30 p.m.

In addition to the performances, attendees can enjoy various festive activities. They can take photos with Santa Claus, shop for holiday gifts at the outdoor Holiday Market and QBG Shop, and create their own holiday crafts. Visitors can also warm up with seasonal drinks at the Holiday Bar while enjoying the festive atmosphere.

The event’s holiday market will showcase local vendors offering unique gifts, artisanal products, seasonal items, and one-of-a-kind treasures.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for seniors, students with ID, and individuals with disabilities, and $2 for children ages 4-12. QBG members and children under 3 receive free admission. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit queensbotanical.org/winterwonder.
