Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst has added two new tenants to its retail lineup over a two-week period, continuing its efforts to adapt to shifting consumer preferences.

Poke Island Grill, a fast-casual restaurant serving Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls, opened in the mall’s food court on Sunday, May 25. The eatery offers customizable dishes featuring fresh seafood, rice, vegetables and sauces. The opening comes as demand grows for healthier and quick-service dining options across major retail centers.

Psycho Bunny, a fashion brand known for its contemporary take on classic polo shirts and graphic apparel, will open its first standalone location at the mall on Friday, June 6. The store will mark its debut with promotional giveaways: customers who spend $150 or more will receive a complimentary hat, while purchases of $250 or more come with a choice between a branded bracelet or card case wallet, while supplies last.

The Queens Center Mall, located at 90-15 Queens Blvd., is one of the largest shopping destinations in the borough. The property is owned and managed by Macerich and houses over 150 retail and food establishments, including Macy’s, JCPenney, Apple, Adidas and Shake Shack. The site is accessible via the M and R subway lines and multiple bus routes at the nearby Woodhaven Boulevard transit hub.

While Queens Center has seen several long-standing retailers close in recent years, it has actively worked to fill vacancies with a mix of national brands, experiential tenants and food operators.

Other recent additions to the mall include fast-fashion retailer Primark and lifestyle shop Miniso.
