Cops collared a Flushing resident who allegedly stabbed a 36-year-old man in the back during an early-morning argument on Tuesday.
According to police, the trouble began at 12:25 a.m. on Aug. 21 in front of a closed storefront on Kissena Boulevard near Elder Avenue.
Law enforcement sources said the victim was talking with a group of friends when Christian Garciaduqe, 39, of 45th Avenue approached and engaged him in a verbal argument. The victim and attacker were apparently known to each other, police said.
The dispute turned violent, authorities said, when Garciaduqe allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back before fleeing the scene.
Officers from the 109th Precinct responded to the incident. Paramedics brought the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens hospital in stable condition.
Following a preliminary investigation, cops located Garciaduqe a short time later and arrested him on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Hours later, in an unrelated incident, police responded to a reported dispute inside of Bowne Park, in the area of 32nd Avenue and 157th Street, that occurred at about 7:10 a.m.
According to law enforcement sources, a 51-year-old man walking through the park got into an argument with a man in his 70s. Seconds later, the septuagenarian struck the man, punching the victim repeatedly in the face before fleeing.
The victim suffered minor injuries including a nose laceration and facial swelling, police said.
Cops described the suspect as standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and having short, straight brown hair.
