A 2-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he fell out of an apartment building window in Corona Thursday evening, police said.
The incident happened about 7 p.m. at a building on 50th Avenue near 99th Street.
According to reports, the toddler tumbled from a first-floor window before falling down basement stairs.
He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The fall was accidental, but the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
