Whitestone businesswoman earns Greek vacation

For being the best of the best at their respective companies, most workers receive a pat on the back or maybe a slight bonus. Linda Helin got an all-expense-paid trip to Athens, when she was awarded Avon’s prestigious Circle of Excellence.
Out of nearly 1500 Avon district sales managers throughout the country, Helin, a Whitestone resident, was one of the top 10% with the largest sales increase over the past calendar year to earn her vacation. “It’s very, very important because I love my job,” she said. “What we do on a daily basis is empower women and help them fulfill their dreams.”
Helin is responsible for managing hundreds of Avon sales representatives who generate more than $1 million in sales annually. “You want to work every day to make a difference,” she said. “It’s a great company to work for. My passion is really what drives me on a daily basis.”
“Linda has truly earned this celebrated distinction,” said Garth Warner, Vice President of U.S. Field Sales Operations. “Each and every day she demonstrates a management style balanced with the drive, the determination and the enthusiasm necessary to be a successful leader. She is always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty and her superior motivational skills have resulted in the outstanding achievement of her sales force.”
Helin credited her success to setting and meeting her goals, and her desire to push her team forward. “I continually work on my development,” she said. “I always set goals and then make a plan to achieve those goals. I love working with others to help them reach their dreams. With the proper support and guidance, I feel that everyone holds within themselves the ability to accomplish great things.”
Avon is the world’s leading direct seller of beauty and related products, with $7.7 billion in annual revenues.
