Mother Admits To Smothering Baby

A 21-year-old mother will face murder charges after admitting to police that she smothered her four-month-old son to death.
According to reports, Yoneli Rodriguez brought her unconscious baby to the emergency room of Elmhurst General Hospital on Friday, March 30. He was later pronounced dead.
Hospital staff notified police, who then arrested the mother.
The child had no outward signs of trauma. A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
