Young, Liu celebrate Fourth of July

Assemblymember Ellen Young (center, behind flag) celebrates Independence Day along with more than 100 residents of her district and is joined by Councilmember John Liu (near right, in front of flag.) on the back terrace of 39-07 Prince Street in Flushing.
The group enjoyed a diverse array of food, music and dancing on the flag-bedecked space in the building which houses Young’s district office.
Young, who immigrated to the U.S. over 30 years ago, said, “I look forward to making this a tradition” as she thanked the Sheraton LaGuardia Hotel, Eastern Fu Hua Business Association and the Gu Hsiang Restaurant, which sponsored the event.
