Speeding up Astoria library

A newly installed self-check-in system for books at Astoria’s Broadway library branch has been implemented to speed up the process in which they can be placed back into circulation. Books can be dropped off into the check-in system next to the library’s entrance. The system electronically distributes books in various bins according to topic, making it easier to return them to the stacks and free up staff to assist patrons.
