An open letter to City Councilman James Gennaro (D-Fresh Meadows):
I am writing to voice my concerns regarding the possibility that Key Food and the stationery store next to it, at 69th Avenue and 164th Street, are going to be forced out by their landlord. We do not need a CVS store here. There are enough large drugstores within our neighborhood.
Also, where would we be able to shop? The nearest supermarket is the one in the Electchester Shopping Center. It would be hard for many residents who are elderly or disabled, like myself, to have to go there to shop.
We need those two businesses to remain where they are. Can you do something to prevent this possible eviction from happening?
