FLUSHING – Police were hunting for a suspect who sexually assaulted a woman in Flushing Saturday afternoon, the NYPD said.
The suspect, with a firearm showing from his waistband, allegedly forced his way into a building on Union Street at about 5 p.m. and attacked his 46-year-old female victim, cops said. The NYPD said the victim was taken to Queens Hospital Center and listed in stable condition.
Police described the suspect as a white man in his 40s, between 6-foot and 6-foot-4 and roughly 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light-blue T-shirt, shorts, sneakers and a baseball cap, the NYPD said.
