Brooklyn pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver in Woodhaven: Police

Police were looking for a hit-and-run driver who allegedly struck and killed a 35-year-old man in Woodhaven early Saturday, the NYPD said.

The pedestrian, identified by police as Brooklyn resident Yunior Antonio Perez Rodriguez, had been attemptIng to cross Woodhaven Boulevard at Jamaica Avenue at about 3:15 a.m. when he was hit, according to cops.

Emergency responders were called to the intersection, and brought Perez Rodriguez to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Authorities said the vehicle that drove off after mowing down Perez Rodriguez was possibly a white Honda Civic.

No arrests had been made, and an investigation was ongoing, the NYPD said.
