City Council Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer and other officials met last week with U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx and city Transportation Commissioner Polly Trottenberg regarding implementation of the Vision Zero program. The initiative includes a variety of measures aimed at reducing vehicular and pedestrian accidents on city streets. Among those who also participated in the session were Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Diana Reyna, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and City Council Members Margaret Chin, Ydanis Rodriguez, David Greenfield and Debi Rose.
