Diversity Celebrated at Bushwick’s P.s. 299

P.S. 299 in Bushwick held its annual multi cultural show in the schools’ auditorium on Friday, June 6. This was the fourth consecutive year where students got to design a culturally significant tribute to a country. For this show, students created a dance to capture a country. Almost 200 students, from pre-K to fifth-grade participated in this celebration of diversity and the multi-cultural aspects of the community. Pictured are Amelia Flores and kindergarten students dressed for Samba, and Ms Escalera’s fourth-grade doing the Merengue.
