JAMAICA — Two people were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries after a Thursday afternoon fire in Jamaica, a FDNY spokesman said.
After breaking out at 175-15 Hiawatha Ave., the second-alarm blaze spread to an adjacent building, fire officials said.
The fire broke out at 12:28, and three minutes later, the Bravest were at the scene, battling the flames, the spokesman said.
A total of 106 firefighters and 25 units responded to the fire, which was declared under control at 1:40 p.m., according to the FDNY.
Officials said one firefighter also sustained very minor injuries.
