Gunman sought for shooting outside nightclub in Jamaica Hills

Police are looking for the gunman behind the Feb. 20 shooting outside the H2O nightclub on Hillside Avenue in Jamaica Hills.

Detectives continue to search for the man who shot a 23-year-old man outside a nightclub in Jamaica Hills early in the morning of Saturday, Feb. 20.

The NYPD released on Tuesday night a security camera image of the alleged shooter, described as a black male standing 5 foot 11 inches tall with cornrows and weighing 170 pounds.

Authorities said the shooting took place in an alley adjacent to the H2O nightclub located at 153-33 Hillside Ave. at 4 a.m. Saturday.

According to police, the victim was steered into the alley by a second unidentified suspect, whose identity was not disclosed but was later arrested. After entering the alley, it was reported, the gunman displayed and then discharged a firearm, with a bullet striking the victim in the abdomen. The gunman fled the scene.

Officers from the 107th Precinct and EMS units responded to the location after receiving a 911 call about the incident. The victim was brought to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.
