A Bayside clothing store known for sky-high heels and strappy dresses will be adding something new this March — a complete line of clothing for children and babies.

Bell Boulevard boutique Karma is launching its new baby and kids’ clothing collection Posh & Petite inside the store alongside its established inventory of women’s clothing.

Posh & Petite owner Jennifer Luna said that she was inspired to join with Karma for the new venture because of her own struggles to find unique clothing for her daughters, one a 4-year-old and the other an 8-month-old. According to Luna, Posh & Petite will be an “edgy” children’s clothing line with spunky items such as dresses with leather detailing and pre-ripped pairs of jeans.

“We hope to bring in various lines of infant and children’s attire that combine comfort with couture and provides more options in the Queens area for children’s clothing that is both affordable but still stylish,” Luna said, adding that the store has plans to host Posh Princess birthday parties as well.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Posh & Petite clothing will be donated to a nonprofit organization providing warm meals, fresh water and education to underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic.

The store — which has been open since the early 2000s — will also continue to sell its womenswear in a separate section. These include day dresses of all colors and styles, a variety of lingerie sets and a clubwear selection ranging from mini-dresses with body-skimming cut-out sections to platform stilettos encrusted with rhinestones.

“Moms need to be sexy too,” Luna said. “We’re offering everything for everyone.”

The boutique will hold a soft opening on Tuesday, March 1, at 38-27 Bell Blvd., followed by a grand opening later in the week on Saturday, March 5.
