Con Edison is working around the clock to make emergency repairs in Ridgewood, the utility company announced, but there was no immediate information available about the extent of the work.
The project is underway in the area of Catalpa Avenue between 60th Lane and 65th Street/Otto Road. The excavation work is limiting street parking in the affected areas, and involves nighttime work in the residential area.
The work is expected to last four to five weeks, and service interruptions are not expected during the course of the repairs, according to information Con Edison sent to Community Board 5.
QNS has reached out to Con Edison for more details on the work that is being done, and is awaiting reply.
