Subway creep who grabbed a woman’s buttocks and ran at an Elmhurst station still on the lam

Police are looking for a man who copped a feel while walking through an Elmhurst subway station earlier this month.

On July 7 at 7:43 p.m., a 22-year-old female was walking through the mezzanine level of the Grand Avenue–Newtown subway station, located below the intersection of Grand Avenue and Queens Boulevard.

As she was walking, police said, the unknown man approached her from behind, grabbed her on the buttocks and then fled the location in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a black or Hispanic male with brown eyes and black hair believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, shorts and sneakers.

Police released an image of the suspect which was taken on a cellphone following the incident.
