Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Queens Candlelight Service — Celebrate December holidays across the religious and cultural spectrum. Listen to music of the season, performed by the UUCQ Choir with Music Director Jed Levine, and join in with congregational singing. The last musical selection will involve everyone singing as each person passes a flame from their candle to another. Rev. Oratorio Society of Queens Holiday Concert — The Oratorio Society of Queens performs selections from Handel’s “Messiah,” as well as traditional Christmas favorites and Hanukkah songs. OSQ will perform with its 125-plus member chorus under the direction of Maestro David Close with featured soloists Jennifer Gliere, soprano; Byron Singleton, tenor; Vaughn Fritts, bass-baritone; guest artist Cantor Jerry Korobow; and OSQ’s orchestra, the Orchestral Arts Ensemble of Queens.
