East Elmhurst library hosts tribute to Patricia Ann Naylor-Thomas

In June, the friends of Patricia Ann Naylor-Thomas held a memorial service to honor her life at the Langston Hughes Library in East Elmhurst.

Queens Public Library President and CEO Dennis Walcott was on hand to salute Thomas’ contributions to the library at 100-01 Northern Blvd.

Naylor-Tomas was born to Daisy and Leslie Naylor and received a B.A. in English from Michigan State University and an M.A. in English and Communications from Columbia University. She completed the sales and marketing executive program at the University of Virginia and was trained as a professional coach from Coach University.

She then became a professional executive consultant who trained corporations, nonprofit organizations and individual clients.

During her life she was on the board of the Women Presidents Organization and was affiliated with the Kiwanis Club of LaGuardia Airport.

She died on March 17, 2021, and is survived by her domestic partner Eddie, godson David, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
