Armed suspect ties up man in his Bayside home, then steals safe & designer bag: police

Police are looking for a perpetrator who gave a Bayside man a rude awakening in a home invasion on Thursday, according to police.

On Nov. 2 at around 12:10 p.m., the 20-year-old victim was sleeping in his home in the vicinity of 26th Avenue and 212th Street when an unknown male entered his bedroom and displayed a black handgun, authorities said. The suspect then tied up the victim, stole a safe, a Chanel bag and personal papers, and fled the scene.

Officers from the 111th Precinct responded to the scene. No injuries were sustained in the incident, police said.

An NYPD spokesperson could not confirm whether or not there were any signs of forced entry.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches. He was last seen wearing a green jacket.
