Flushing burglar caught on camera walking through apartment before stealing loot

Cops released video footage on Sunday of a man who they say pilfered $14,000 in valuables from a Flushing apartment he burglarized last week.

Law enforcement sources said the break-in occurred at about 1:56 p.m. on Jan. 31 at a home in the vicinity of 31st Drive and Union Street.

According to police, the burglar forced open the front door of the location. Once inside, he searched the home and grabbed jewelry and other personal items. He subsequently fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The case was reported to the 109th Precinct.

Cops describe the suspect as a Hispanic man believed to be 40 years of age. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and white sneakers.
