Queens was the home of upsets Thursday afternoon in the PSAL Class A boys’ basketball bracket. Two low seeds from the borough, No. 28 Francis Lewis and No. 25 Franklin K. Lane, defeated much more heralded teams in the first round of the playoffs.

PSAL ‘AA’ boys’ hoops playoffs: Bayside falls; Edison, Forest Hills move into first round
Julius Wells had 24 points and Evan Eisner and Davon Brown both had 16 points apiece for the No. 20 Bayside boys’ basketball team in a 77-76 outbracket PSAL Class AA playoff loss Tuesday against No. 13 Thurgood Marshall in Manhattan.
